A Letter from The Chief Executive
Dear Friends,

We are pleased to bring you the Summer edition of SOS Children’s World.

The FIFA World Cup is now here and our work to construct new villages in the six countries benefiting from the “6 villages for 2006” campaign is underway. In this issue we highlight our “6 Villages for 2006” work in Mexico and Vietnam. In both countries the numbers of street children is rising and we are working to provide a new family for children who have no one. Many survive on less than 65 pence per day.

We have a new section focusing on specific areas of our work and in this edition we look at the Family Carer Programme in Ghana, showing how we work with children, their families and their communities to improve their lives.

Our fundraising support page reports where some of you have been running for SOS and raising our profile on the streets. Thank you to everyone involved.

With best wishes and thank you for your continued support of our work.

Andrew Cates

Chief Executive of SOS Children UK
