The Scafell massif in the English Lake District. The view is looking east from near the summit of Middle Fell (582 m). The south ridge of Yewbarrow is in the left foreground, with the north end of Wast Water beyond. The deep-sided valley is that of Lingmell Gill, with Rakehead Crag to the right and Lingmell (807 m) to the left. On the skyline, from right to left, are Slight Side (762 m), Sca Fell (964 m), the steep cliffs of Scafell Central Buttress, the distinctive notch of Mickledore (c. 840 m), Scafell Pike (978 m), Broad Crag (934 m), and Great End (910 m).
