Image of a Khazar warrior with prisoner, based on 8th century ewer found in Romania. Reconstruction by Norman Finkelshteyn based on 8th century ewer discovered in Romania. Debate is ongoing over whether the figure on the ewer represents an Avar, Khazar, Magyar or Bulgar warrior.
