Education Projects

Production Centre, Lilongwe

SOS Children runs more than 191 primary and secondary schools around the world in areas where there is no other education available. Here are some projects for which we currently seek funding:

Vocational and Training Production Centre, Lilongwe, Malawi

In Malawi 60% of the population live below the poverty line and 50% are 15 years of age or less. SOS Children is providing the funding to train and empower young Malawians to support themselves and their families. The centre will benefit 140 school leavers and disadvantaged and disabled young people each year.

Vocational and Training Production Centre, Viet Tri, Vietnam

SOS Children is working at Viet Tri, Vietnam to reduce poverty in the area by giving young people a practical education in electronics, computing and mechanics to enable them to find a local market related profession. The Vocational Training and Production Centre will benefit around 300 youths each year.

School and Teacher Resource Centre, Arusha, Tanzania

The schools in Arusha are inadequate with around 100 children in each classroom. The schools operate a shift process to manage the number of children by offering half the day. SOS Children has funded the construction of a new primary and secondary school for 420 children. The school provides quality education to local children as well running a teacher training resource centre.
