Update from the SOS Children's Village Mogadishu

The mothers with their children are still in rented houses in the town because the area where the SOS Children's Village is located is not safe yet. All the mothers and children are safe and Ok. The village director together with the school principal will be travelling to Mogadishu next week in order to address the crucial issue of education. The children cannot stay out of school too long! The hospital is still closed and also the nursing school and the SOS school.

The national director is also travelling to Mogadishu next week in order to analyse the situation. There is a possibility to get an alternative place where we can temporarily open the hospital. The SOS staffs are still waiting for the situation to improve but are ready to work.

There are some positive signs coming up from the political field. The new Prime Minister looks reasonable and committed to peace. Let’s see.
