Run the Flora London Marathon for charity

Girl from SOS Children's Village Nairobi, Kenya, getting in training!

So, you’ve been awarded a place in this year’s Flora London Marathon through the national ballot (congratulations!) and you are immersed in a rigorous training schedule from now until April 22...

Aside from the fact that the streets of London will be paved with well-wishers on the day and that you will be part of one of the world’s biggest and best marathons, do you need an added incentive to throw on those trainers and run hundreds more practice miles?

Here at SOS Children’s Villages, we guarantee that running on our behalf will make it an even more rewarding experience for you!

Here’s why:
Imagine getting to the finish line, being presented with your medal and the wonderful sense of achievement you will feel. This initial feeling can be significantly enhanced in the knowledge that you have also raised much-needed sponsorship to benefit orphaned and abandoned children in some of the most poverty-stricken areas of the world.

That feeling will stay with you because your contribution will have a lasting impact on the children in our care.

SOS Children works in 124 countries. As a supporter you can decide where the funds you help to raise will be spent; we have a number of specific and tangible projects that are currently in real need of funding and would really appreciate your help to fulfill them.

100% of the sponsorship raised by our challenge participants is allocated to such projects, with no deductions for administration, so every penny you are able to generate will make a difference.
