FA visit to SOS Children in Lesotho

Shortly before the World Cup got underway in Germany, a team from The FA took time out from their coaching schedule to pay children at the SOS Children's Village Maseru in Lesotho a visit.

The FA coaching team was over in Lesotho as part of a partnership between European national football associations and their counterparts in Africa, through which The FA has been working with the Lesotho FA (LEFA)to develop football in the country.

After the coaching session with over 40 local coaches, the FA team foudn time to visit the children at the Maseru SOS Children's Village, where they presented the Village Director with a supply of footballs and T shirts for all the children before organising a mini football tournament.

The recent FA visit was a follow-up to a three day workshop in Lesotho last October, which included girls' football coaching for the first time.
