Charity challenges

What better way to find adventure, see the world, meet new people, improve your fitness, set yourself a personal goal and raise vital funds for a worthy cause?

Charity challenges can be on any scale, anywhere, doing anything, from taking part in a 10km run to climbing Everest! You can see our forthcoming challenges for ideas and contacts.

SOS Children’s Villages doesn’t currently run bespoke challenges, but there are many companies that organise open charity challenges through which you can achieve your goal and choose to support us.

If you have always wanted to walk the Great Wall of China, horseride in Mongolia, trek across Iceland, dog-sled in Norway, cycle through Cuba or any number of other adventures, check out the open charity challenges at the following websites:

Typically, the tour company will request a registration fee of around £500. Depending on the location and type of challenge, you will be required to raise circa £3000. About 40% of this sum will cover the cost of the expedition whilst the remainder will be a donation to the charity.

Thank you!

We'd like to thank everyone who's taken part in a charity challenge for SOS Children - for a list of who did what, click here.

Or if this all sounds a bit too much...

why not consider a virtual charity challenge?
